I can finally blog!!!!!

I've always wanted to have a blog, but haven't thought my life was interesting enough to merit one. Last Wednesday, March 27th, 2013, my life became intersting enough. On that day at 7:44am, I gave birth to my first child--a beautiful little man whom we named Geller Michael Malone, and with whom I am completely in love.

The other person in the 'we' equation is Christopher Michael Malone, my handsome boyfriend, and Geller's father. Back track a year ago to April 2012...

I was in my last semester at ASU and putting in long, hard hours in my quest to finish my BA in Economics. Along with taking 15 credits of 400 level Econ classes I was working 30 hours a week as a leasing agent. This meant that I pulled at least one all-nighter every week to keep up on homework and studying. On one of these all-nighters, as I sat at my kitchen table, I decided to sign up for match.com. It was 3am and my brain needed a break from Econometrics. I filled out the profile questionaire, uploaded a few pics, and then went back to studying.

The next day my email was flooded with messages from Match, telling me so-and-so wanted to meet me, and what's-his-bucket was my ideal match. I browsed through the suggested profiles and responded to a few messages, but didn't really see anyone who caught my eye. I narrowed the parameters of my ideal mate characteristics to slow the flow of emails and logged out. Later that day, after work and before studying I logged back in to check my messages. I set up a few dates for the following week (after finals, which ended on Tuesday) and then checked my reject inbox for the fun of it...

Perusing the messages I made faces that corresponded with the profiles and messages I received. "Old man...bald...no thank you...really?!...pass...right...nope...hmmm, who is this?"

The guy in the picture looked cute and athletic (he was wearing an ASU tee, standing on an athletic field, and sported a whistle hanging from his neck) and I wondered why he hadn't made the main inbox cut. Turns out he came in an inch too short at 6'2", but he was cute. He introduced himself and asked if I wanted to meet up and gave me his phone number. I put his number in my phone and texted him the next day.
